Postdoctoral Position – Cellular and Molecular Biology/ Drug Discovery Focus

We seek a motivated postdoctoral researcher with a PhD in Cellular & Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology to join our medicinal Innovative Chemistry group at CATRIN, Palacký University, the Czech Republic. The ideal candidate will have strong molecular biology skills covering ion exchange and affinity chromatography, ELISA, protein/RNA/DNA extraction, Western blotting and gel electrophoresis (PAGE, SDS-PAGE, agarose). Hands-on experience in molecular cloning techniques including primer design, plasmid extraction, transformation, competent E. coli preparation, gel extraction, enzymatic digestion, and ligation is essential.

Experience with biophysical techniques such as Thermal Shift Assay (TSA), Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) and Circular Dichroism (CD) spectroscopy is required. Expertise in mammalian cell culture including culturing cell lines, transfection, transduction, flow cytometry, MTT assay, fluorescent and polarized light microscopy is highly valued.

Candidates must have at least one year of postdoctoral research or equivalent work experience, with preference given to those having worked in the pharmaceutical industry.

The position is offered for a minimum of one year, with the possibility of extension up to two years.
