Research at the Laboratory of Experimental Medicine (LEM) focuses on human disease, development of innovative therapeutics, biomarkers and in vitro/in vivo diagnostics. The main disease areas are cancer, rare diseases, inflammation and infectious diseases. LEM was established in 1998 at the Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, Palacky University and University Hospital in Olomouc and eventually seeded the founding of IMTM in 2010. We are currently organized into five groups: Human Genetics; Imaging & Tracing; Molecular and Clinical Proteomics; Experimental Therapeutics and Bio/Chemoinformatics. The various groups complement each other and enable us to translate discoveries into clinical practice.
