From carbon nanostructures to international collaboration: Martina Corso visits CATRIN
Distinguished Spanish scientist Martina Corso from the Centro de Física de Materiales in San Sebastián visited CATRIN at Palacký University Olomouc in September as part of the Nanoscale Festival. In addition to her scientific lecture, the visit provided an opportunity to exchange expertise and discuss further possibilities for international research collaboration.
During her presentation, Martina Corso introduced her research focused on the synthesis of functional materials on surfaces, particularly carbon nanostructures with precisely defined properties. Her work combines fundamental research with the potential for future applications in advanced technologies. The programme also included a tour of CATRIN laboratories, followed by discussions on opportunities for further collaboration.
The visit highlighted the importance of international cooperation and connecting leading research teams across Europe. The event was held with the support of the Embassy of Spain in the Czech Republic / AECID and was organised by CATRIN at Palacký University Olomouc.
