Project number: CZ.02.2.69/0.0/0.0/20_079/0018294

Project director: Aristeidis Bakandritsos, Ph.D.

Funding: 3 806 072 CZK
Implementation period: 01/2021-12/2022

The aim of the project is to support the researcher who submitted a positively evaluated project to the Horizon 2020 call in 2019, in particular Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions – Individual Fellowships – European Fellowships (H2020_MSCA-IF_2019). On behalf of Palacký University Olomouc, this is one researcher who will be involved in activity 1 Support for “no money” MSCA projects – arrivals in the Czech Republic.

Scientific Goals and background: The goals of the proposal are synthesis of Ag2SnS3 and Ag2SnSe3 nanocrystals (NCs) for photovoltaic application and use them as a light absorbing material in solar cell. In search of suitable cost-effective and environment-friendly solar cells, solution processable colloidal nanocrystal based photovoltaics are considered a promising alternative to the first generation devices. Minimizing the fabrication costs combined with the use of non-toxic earth-abundant materials may also facilitate ready compliance with the industrial and environmental regulations.

Project “Support for international mobility of researchers – MSCA-IF at Palacký University in Olomouc III.” is co-financed by the European Union.
